Who’s hating MGMT’s Congratulations?  Sure it doesn’t have a “single” so to speak, but have you actually listened to the whole album?  It’s freaking amazing!  I love how MGMT re-contextualized those classic sounds into a blend of trippy psyche-rock surf turducken that’s actually cohesive!  That takes skittles!

Waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting...
This is why free is not always the best option.  Several weeks ago, I picked up an awesome Tesch S-22 road bike frame for cheap.  Knowing that I’d need to do some repairs on the frame, (there are two slight cracks on the top and down tube) I called up the next door neighbor who’s a fabricator and see if he would do it for me.  Nice guy that he is, he agreed to do it for free.  ...

Shitty Brains Create Romantic Love
“If our neurons weren’t such lousy processors and we didn’t need 100 billion of them massively interconnected in order to make a clever brain out of such lousy parts, then we wouldn’t have such a long childhood,” Linden says. And without that long childhood, he says, evolution wouldn’t have equipped us with the force that bonds parents together to protect their...

Ok... I'm committed to this!
If I ever stand a chance to compete in a triathlon I need to take responsibility in getting prepared for the event.  Starting the week of 8/8/10 I’m logging miles on a weekly basis.  I will report my results end of the week.  For the first week my goal is to log 15 miles – easy right?

cozystumblings: Lauren Leto Faking It Reading books is hard, yo! Fake your favorite author. How To Fake Like You’ve Read Dostoevsky If you’re trying to present yourself as someone who is a brooding intellectual, let’s do a quick review of Fyodor Dostoevsky. 1. Knowing Dostoevsky’s first name is not important. Knowing how to pronounce his name is important. Say it like this: DOS [like the...

“Time present and time past Are both perhaps present in time future, And time...”
– T. S. Eliot - Burnt Norton It’s the beginning of a new year, a new decade.  It is the time to reflect on how time passes us by so relentlessly, and how fickle life can be.  T.S. Eliot reminds us to live the present.  Don’t waste anymore time.  Make it count.

When sharing a living quarter...
It is always good to establish useful ground rules such as “piss priority.”  That way there’s no confusion of who has the first rights to the throne.
