Chatting with pop’s over Skype few days ago.
My dad likes to send me pictures of silly Chinese knock-offs.
This is why free is not always the best option.
Several weeks ago, I picked up an awesome Tesch S-22 road bike frame for cheap. Knowing that I’d need to do some repairs on the frame, (there are two slight cracks on the top and down tube) I called up the next door neighbor who’s a fabricator and see if he would do it for me. Nice guy that he is, he agreed to do it for free.
“Give me a week. I’ll fix the crack and powder coat it for you.”
Three weeks later, frame is still sitting at the shop untouched. I’ve been going to his shop after work for the last 3 days just to give him a visual hint that I’ve been waiting for the frame for a long time. Hopefully, he will finish it by the weekend.
